The training in these videos along with using the eCollar as instructed literally saved our relationship with our dog. We were dealing with a significant over-arousal issue with our 6mo Bernedoodle pup who was pulling severely, jumping on people, lunging at cars, chasing leaves, and a long list of behaviors making walks or greetings impossible with typical puppy training. Her underlying issue was extreme cortisol levels from allowing herself to become over excited that would make her unable to process commands. This was diagnosed by a dog behaviorist.
He suggested an eCollar was our only option for behavior modification and to break that cycle. So I researched eCollars thoroughly, and serendipitously came across Robin’s training videos online.
I purchased a high grade Dogtra collar system and the 5-DVD training set promising myself I wouldn’t even charge the collar system until knowing all needed to correctly train without needing to undo anything.
After 3-4 days of studying videos, took our girl on her maiden voyage and saw minor confusion from the collar – but then she caught on quickly. After the 3rd day – No kidding, she was already walking loose leashed, heeling some, no longer scavenging every twig or piece of debris in sight – and best of all, walking in a straight line near my side.
After 6 weeks she’s nearly the perfect companion who loves meeting people, is more confident and in control, and all to the extent people at local dog friendly stores ask me to bring her any time. They absolutely love her because they say she’s amazingly well behaved.
For a pup to go from our wondering if we should re-home her (after 2 stints of unsuccessful non eCollar group training) to a well behaved 8 month old who has composure and boundaries is mind blowing for us. Most of all she’s happier now that she has direction and attention/affection from almost everyone.
We’ll be forever grateful for the work and approach Robin uses in her videos. Her demos start with untrained dogs rather than only showing off a polished final product. Robin’s delivery is clear, confident, very matter of fact as if she’s there in your living room. Simple no nonsense stuff – she’s a true class act.
Being able to see the work and patience needed for problem scenarios was exactly what we needed for our situation.
And now we’ll schedule those vacations and road trips we’d hoped for with our new well behaved pup!
