Thought I’d share a little video I made over the weekend of my pup, Diva. Just a few of the tricks she knows and how I pair motivational use of the remote collar with her favorite rewards of food and the green orb!
Just for some fun viewing today!
Happy Training
oh….and maybe you can do me a favor and forward to someone who believe remote collars can only be used in a punitive fashion. 🙂

Nice job with Diva. What I noticed the most was how happy she looks. Many of the best PP trainers do tricks and such like you were doing, but I rarely see their dogs’ tails wagging…isn’t that strange? They seem so mechanical.
Your use of the collar is invisible, as it is with most of us who use e-collars. I think viewers will think you’re not pushing the button at all when they see this. How many times did you hit the button during this video? Might be fun to do a video with an audible buzz for every button tap so people can hear what’s happening as they watch.
Lovely pup!
In this video I prompted about 75% of the behaviors, so I am pushing the button a lot. It is surprising to people when they realize that the e-collar is actually being used. I’ll do some future videos with a monitor on so viewers will know when the button is pushed. Diva is a firecracker!
There’s a Dogtra trainer on Youtube who has a soundbox collar that emits a buzz with the pager or various “chip” sounds when the stim function is pressed. It’s interesting to be able to hear how she uses the different collar functions to prompt or cease various behaviors.
Yeah, on some of my Youtube videos I use a sound box also. When I was shooting this footage, it was just for my use to see how she was looking from a different perspective. I wasn’t thinking of using it for educational purposes originally. But then I figured it was fun stuff and why not post it… Check out some of the other Youtube stuff under Thats My Dog Inc if you want to hear some of the timing.
Robin,
She looks great. Diva makes me smile. She sure has got that reverse down pat and what a cute spin on her pose. Keep up the good work with all your post to get the word out how the collar can be used.
