Shelter Dogs helped by Shock Collar?

Meet Bear. Bear was the first dog that went through our adopt program. We routinely adopt dogs from a local shelter, train them and find them new, permanent homes. When I first meet Bear, he had been in the shelter for a pretty long time and was losing his chance at finding a home.

Remote Collar Training helps Doberman in Vancouver, BC find a new leash on life.

This is a very interesting letter that came from a woman in Vancouver, BC. Remote collar training gets young dogs off to a great start

A while back I wrote about  small breed dogs and training them with a remote training collar. One of these days I’ll write about young dogs and puppies as well….but for today I just wanted to share some pictures of two little cuties that are currently going through training programs. Meet Lucky & Tessie. These two have a few things in common. For one, they are both young pups. Lucky is 18 weeks old and Tessie is 16 weeks old. […]

Here is a small clip from a recent training workshop in Cleveland, OH. The topic for discussion was; does the stimulation need to […]

Remote Collar Training – What level is right for your dog?

A while back I wrote about the level of stimulation that should be used when training a dog with an electronic, remote collar. That article addressed the concept of adjusting the intensity to fit the situation.  As a general rule, less stimulation is needed during the regular daily routine and more is needed when things get exciting and the dog’s adrenaline level goes up. Adjusting the intensity is similar to turning up the volume on a radio or television when […]
